Change of venue for Tuesday run on 8th June
Next week's Tuesday session (8th June) is at Upton for a change. There will be a 5 - 6 mile run and a 2.5 mile run for those who have recently completed the beginners' running course or anybody in general looking to bridge the gap between getting started and joining a club. Meet at the George and Dragon at 7pm. Parking will be either at the village hall, or if that's locked the tarmac path next to the George and Dragon. Hope to see you there.

Next weekend run
Do you like hills? Do you like cake? Then how would you like to combine the two? The proposed date for our next weekend run is Sunday 27th June and the venue is likely to be Wantage. Dave Knopp is going to organise a route of around 8 miles which has a high likelihood of a) including at least one monstrous hill and b) finishing at a cafe. Details to follow asap. Everybody welcome.

Chilton weekend run
Thanks to everybody who came along for the club run on Sunday 23rd May. We had perfect weather and it was a lovely route. Tea and cake was enjoyed by all at the garden centre afterwards. Thank you to Rita who organised it. We hope to make it a regular thing in the future so please let us know if you have any suggestions of routes we could do. They need to end at a cafe, obviously.

Weekend Club Run - Sunday 23rd May
Do you miss the running club between Thursdays and Tuesdays? Do you spend the weekend wishing that there was a club run to get you out of doing DIY? Well wish no longer. There's a weekend club run happening on Sunday 23rd May, starting at Chilton garden centre car park at 9am. We plan to do about 8 miles and then finish with coffee and cake in the garden centre cafe. So if you usually run about 5 miles and want to do a bit more, if you'd be doing a longer run anyway and fancy some company or if you just really like cake it would be great to see you.

Several club members are planning to do the Charmouth Challenge on the 3rd July. It's a truly spectacular 8 mile race which has some pretty serious hills but it's definitely worth it when you get to the top of them! It's a beautiful place and it makes for a great weekend away. There are nice campsites, B+Bs and hotels nearby so why don't we make it a club outing? Go on, it'll make a change from the ring road.
